Lincostin is primarily effective against gram-positive bacteria such as <em>Staphylococcus<\/em>, <em>Streptococcus<\/em>, <em>Clostridium<\/em>, <em>Bacillus anthracis<\/em>, and <em>Corynebacterium<\/em> sp. It is also active against some gram-negative bacteria like <em>Haemophilus<\/em> and <em>Pasteurella<\/em>, in addition to <em>Mycoplasma<\/em>.
